Job summary

Metrea in Australia seeks a dedicated WHS and environmental leader to run and improve safety and sustainability across its Australian sites. You will translate legal requirements into workable arrangements and advise senior leaders on duties, risks, and controls, while ensuring robust monitoring and reporting.

You will work with Aviation Safety, Operational Compliance, Facilities and People teams to manage shared risks and drive ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 alignment within Metrea’s integrated

Qualifications

• Ideally a recognised qualification in work health and safety, occupational health and safety, environmental management or a closely related discipline.
• Substantial experience leading WHS and environmental management in multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS and environmental legislation and how it applies to varied sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate WHS and environmental management across Australian Metrea sites.
• Provide practical, independent advice to leaders on WHS duties, risks and controls.
• Maintain compliance framework, registers, permits and regulatory notifications.
• Oversee risk management, inspections, audits, and management-of-change reviews.
