Wabtec Corporation in Australia seeks a seasoned WHSE Manager to lead work health, safety and environmental performance across projects and operations. You will advise leaders, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a proactive safety culture with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.

This role partners with project teams, supports tender submissions, and builds relationships with regulators and clients.

Qualificações

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Work Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in WHSE leadership roles within high-risk industries.
• Demonstrated experience supporting major projects, construction, rail, mining, infrastructure or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience leading incident investigations using recognised methodologies such as ICAM, TapRooT or equivalent.
• ISO Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification and practical auditing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels of an organisation.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Ability to travel to operational and project sites as required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the WHSE strategy, systems and programs.
• Promote a positive WHSE culture through leadership, coaching and engagement with leaders and employees.
• Provide expert WHSE advice and guidance to management, employees and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental obligations, company standards and client requirements.
• Establish, maintain and improve WHSE management systems, policies, procedures and governance.
• Monitor legislative and industry developments and ensure compliance.
• Lead risk management activities, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Oversee WHSE audits, inspections and assurance activities.
• Monitor WHSE performance and KPIs to leadership.
• Lead investigations into incidents and near misses with corrective actions.
• Ensure regulatory reporting obligations are met and maintain relationships with authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and audits.
• Partner with leaders to integrate WHSE into planning and delivery.
• Support tender submissions and contractor management from WHSE perspective.
• Develop relationships with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Lead WHSE personnel development and succession planning.
• Represent the organisation as WHSE subject matter expert.
