Job summary

A W Edwards, based in Sydney with a regional NSW footprint, is seeking an experienced WHS Coordinator to join our Data Centre projects in Huntingwood and Lane Cove, NSW. You will work alongside and support a Safety Manager who mentors and develops you for a long-term career with us.

Role requirements include site WHS coordination on projects over $200M in NSW, 3+ years in first/second tier construction, and a Cert IV or higher in Safety.

  • Experience in first/second tier construction environments.
  • Minimum 3 years in relevant roles.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee safety on Data Centre projects in NSW and coordinate with the Safety Manager.
  • Mentor and develop team members, and manage risk controls.
  • Ensure face-to-face stakeholder engagement and dispute resolution.
  • Promote a productive, standards-based work approach during office hours.

About The Role
  • Immediate requirement for an experienced WHS Coordinator to join our Data Centre teams in Huntingwood and Lane Cove.
  • Working alongside and supporting a highly experienced Safety Manager who enjoys mentoring and developing those around him

  • Project values range from $80M up to $800M and their diverse expertise across multiple sectors means that no one project is the same, allowing you to continue to learn new techniques.
Role Requirements
  • You will have worked as a Site WHS Coordinator on projects over $200M in NSW
  • You will have gained WHS Coordinator experience within a first/second tier construction company environment with proven tenure for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Ideally with experience of large-scale commercial, Data Centre, health or Government style projects here in Australia.
  • You will have a Cert IV or above in Safety.
  • We are not looking for an individual to work excessive hours but would rather the successful candidate be someone who is focused and productive during the standard office hours with a time-efficient approach.
  • The person needs to be approachable, able to converse face to face and discuss and resolve disputes as opposed to relying on e-mails.
  • Nothing quite matches a face to face meeting and building relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project.
