Job summary

City of Darwin is seeking a highly engaged WHS Advisor to join the Human Resources and Safety team in Darwin, Australia. The role focuses on developing, implementing and continuously improving our WHS Management System to support a safe workplace and compliant operations.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 5 or Level 6 qualifications with 3+ years or 5+ years of relevant experience, a Certificate IV in WHS, a NT White Card, and a valid C class Driver Licence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on WHS role assisting with development, implementation and improvement of WHS policies.
• Strong focus on providing WHS advice, training, coaching and mentoring.
• Ability to engage with internal stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve City of Darwin's WHS Management System and related policies.
• Provide best practice WHS advice and practical training to staff.
• Coach and mentor stakeholders to maintain legislative compliance and safety culture.
