Job summary

The Bloomfield Group is seeking an experienced WHS Advisor to join our Corporate Services team on a 6 to 12 month project. The role partners with operations to implement WHS initiatives across agricultural and land management activities within Hunter Valley sites.

The successful candidate will develop and implement systems, procedures, training and risk management processes to support safe and compliant operations, with site-based duties Monday to Friday and travel across our Hunter Valley

Qualifications

• Qualifications in WHS or a related field.
• Experience in workplace health and safety, ideally within agriculture or a similar operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety systems.
• Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, consultation and practical leadership.
• Support integration of agriculture and land management activities into the safety framework.
• Lead risk assessments and assist with implementing effective control measures.
• Develop and improve WHS systems, procedures, standards and safe work practices.
• Coordinate workplace inspections, audits and assurance activities to monitor safety performance.
• Support management of agricultural equipment, machinery and hazardous chemicals within safety systems.
• Develop training needs analyses and training to support safety competency.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting and action tracking to deliver objectives.
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership on project progress.
