Job summary

Sims Limited is seeking a hands-on WHS Advisor to support multiple NSW operations from a base in St Marys. You will identify risks, improve safety performance, and ensure compliance with WHS and environmental requirements across sites. The role is primarily office-based with regular site travel.

You will develop safety programs, deliver training, and coach leaders to foster a proactive safety culture while supporting workers’ compensation processes and regulatory liaison.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in WHS/EHS advisory role in a highly industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety risks, hazard identification, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Identify hazards and assess operational, environmental, chemical, physical, and process risks.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Develop and review WHS and Environmental Management Plans.
