Job summary

Winning Group is seeking a proactive WHS Advisor to drive Health & Safety across Australia and New Zealand, implementing the Health & Safety Policy and managing the HSMS. The role partners with business units to train, advise and coach on risk controls across transport, logistics, warehousing, retail and offices.

You will lead risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, while maintaining compliance with HVNL and other standards.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of local legislation and standards in Australia & NZ.
• Experience with ISO45001/ISO14001/ISO9001 environments is advantageous.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training and resources.
• Experience across multi-site retail, logistics or warehousing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement the health and safety policy and HSMS
• Administer safety software and intranet systems; provide training and coaching

• Conduct internal audits and site inspections; support external audits
• Monitor safety performance indicators and regulatory changes

Are you a passionate, results-driven WHS advisor ready to shape safety culture across Australia and New Zealand?

We’re looking for a WHS Advisor to facilitate the implementation of our Health & Safety Policy through developing, implementing and managing our Health and Safety Management System. This role will also provide business partner support, training as well astechnical advice across our ANZ transport, logistics, warehousing, retail and office environments.

Position Description:

• Interpret, recommend action and support implementation of thehealth & safety policy, strategy & management system within their areas of responsibility.


• Administer any health & safety software, electronic services or intranet and provide training, coaching, issue resolution and data & information maintenance.


• Manage the risk assessment, hazard identification and incident management processes including coordination of incident investigations and corrective actions to minimise risks.


• Conduct internal management system audits & site inspections and facilitate any external audits, inspection or regulatory site visits.


• Establish, monitor and present health & safety performance indicators, monitor for internal change that may affect health & safety, external changes in legislation or emerging best practice and recommend action resulting from this analysis to ensure legislative compliance and effectiveness of the HSMS.


• Coordinate effective consultative arrangements and coach the health & safety committee(s) and health & safety representatives (HSR).


• Develop, maintain and deliver health & safety learning resources & training to build organisational capability and coach to ensure competency is maintained.


• Support the Workplace Services Partner in maintaining emergency preparedness, first aid, health & safety risk controls, contractor management, incident management and inspections.


• Provide injury management support & advice to the RTW Coordinator provider, Team Experience& leaders; and perform RTW Coordinator duties as required.


• Coordinate and/or support health & wellbeing programs, initiatives and events.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Sound working knowledge of local legislation, regulation and applicable standards across Australia & New Zealand, specific knowledge of HVNL and COR preferred but not essential.


• Sound understanding of Health and Safety Management Systems with experience working in an ISO45001, ISO14001 or ISO9001 certified environment highly regarded.


• High level written communication and document creation skills.


• Intermediate computer literacy and experience using health & safety risk management software and record-keeping systems.


• Ability to manage projects, manage competing priorities across multiple sites and maintain relationships remotely.


• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leaders and engage workers.


• 3+ years' experience in work health & safety ideally across multi-site retail, logistics or warehousing.


• Certificate IV, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Work Health and Safety, or related fields highly regarded.


• Experience in workers compensation, injury management, return to work programs and RTW Coordinator certification highly regarded.


• Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain.


• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.


• Ability to work independently, professionally & autonomously with minimal supervision.
