PeopleIN is seeking a WHS Advisor to join our Brisbane team, focusing on Civil, Warehousing, Manufacturing, Trades and Labour sectors. You will deliver day-to-day health and safety practices across client sites, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and supporting the development of robust safety systems.

Reporting to the Group Head of WHS, you will travel regularly to client sites and other offices, contribute to risk assessments, incident investigations, and support audits and ISO45001

Formación

• Formal qualification in Health and Safety (or working towards).
• 1–2 years working in a safety focused role.
• Willingness to travel regularly to client sites and other offices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and online injury management software.
• Knowledge of or ability to interpret health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Broad general experience across health and safety activities, including auditing and corrective actions.
• Ability to engage and influence managers, staff and clients.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the development and implementation of the Group WHS Management System.
• Assist with emergency management activities and risk governance.
• Collaborate on WorkCover and return-to-work activities with RTW Managers.
• Provide investigations into safety matters and report findings.
• Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to the corrective action register findings.
• Collate and analyse incident data and trends.
• Assist with external audits and ISO45001 accreditation.
• Assist with the WHS component for tenders.

PeopleIN is seeking a WHS Advisor to join our team in Brisbane. This is a newly created role within the wider PeopleIN Safety Team, focusing on Trades & Labour industries, including brands such as AWX.

This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in a growing team, working across a variety of industries and contributing to the ongoing development of WHS practices across the business.

About the role

Reporting to the Group Head of WHS, the WHS Advisoris responsible for the operational delivery of work health and safety practices. Ensuring compliance with work health and safety legislation, and assistance with the development of best practice WHS systems to deliver a safe workplace for all internal staff and on-hire workers.

• Work across various client sites and industries including Civil, Warehousing, Manufacturing, Trades and Labour.
• Support the delivering of the Safety Management Plan.
• Assist with the development and implementation of the Group WHS Management System.
• Assist with emergency management activities with the local teams, and support the risk management, governance, and compliance strategies with the Head of WHS.
• Working collaboratively on WorkCover and return to work activities with the RTW Managers.
• Provide advice and guidance in investigations into safety matters (including workplace incidents) and report findings to the relevant supervisors and/or Managers.
• Conduct incident investigations, determine root causes, to recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions and controls.
• Contribute and facilitate findings within the corrective action register
• Collate and analyse incident data and trends.
• Assist with supporting the Group WHS Manager with external audits and ISO45001 accreditation.
• Assist with the WHS component for tenders.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be a strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business at all levels. You will be career focused with the drive to take on further opportunities and challenges as they rise.

• Formal qualification in Health and Safety (or working towards).
• 1 - 2 years working in a safety focused role.
• Ability to travel very regularly to client sites and other offices including interstate when required.
• Highly proficient in the use of technology; Microsoft suite of products, and online injury management software.
• Knowledge of or ability to interpret health & safety legislation and regulations.
• Broad general experience across a range of health and safety activities, including workplace auditing and development of corrective actions.
• Knowledge and understanding of health and safety practices and procedures including the promotion of health and safety culture.
• Ability to achieve required results by engaging and influencing managers, staff and clients.
