Job summary

Profusion, a respected Australian investment management business with a national footprint, is seeking a Business Development Associate to join its Sydney wholesale distribution team. The role supports a national team of Business Development Managers responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisers, dealer groups and wealth management intermediaries across Australia.

Qualifications

• Ideally 1–2 years of experience within financial services, investment management, wealth management or a related client-facing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary to engage with advisers and senior investment professionals.
• Genuine interest in financial markets, investment products and portfolio construction.

Responsibilities

• Support the national wholesale distribution team in developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisers and wealth management intermediaries.
• Engage directly with financial advisers, providing investment product information and responding to client enquiries.
• Develop a strong understanding of the firm's investment strategies, particularly across private credit, real estate and alternative assets.
• Assist BDMs with adviser meetings, investment presentations, roadshows and client events.
• Prepare investment materials, product updates and supporting documentation for adviser engagement.
• Identify and follow up business development opportunities across the national adviser network.
• Maintain CRM records, distribution pipelines and reporting to support the team's sales activities.
• Collaborate with investment, marketing and operations teams to ensure a high standard of client service.
