Job summary

Sulzer's Perth Service Centre is seeking a Production Worker / Technician to assemble, test, and inspect products, with a focus on wheel motor repairs. You will follow established procedures, work under close supervision, and support the manufacturing process by identifying defects and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate III Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner/Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent).
• Experience in Mechanical fitting large equipment i.e., Wheel units, gearboxes etc.
• Strong focus on safety and excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
• Current Driver's Licence (Forklift licence and Dogging ticket are a bonus).

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and maintain electric mining haul truck wheel motors and associated equipment.
• Disassemble, inspect, and repair large mechanical assemblies with precision.
• Complete job reports and requisition parts to keep projects on track.
• Replace or repair worn components such as shafts, gears, seals, and bearing fits.
• Clean and prepare mechanical equipment using specialized methods and tools.
• Adhere to QESH standards and promote a safe, clean work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
