Job summary

Sulzer Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for our Perth Service Centre. You will oversee the inspection, repair and overhaul of rotating equipment, while leading a skilled team to deliver safe, efficient operations.

This hands-on supervisory role requires a Mechanical Fitter qualification with 5 years of overhaul experience, plus strong communication and leadership capabilities to drive performance and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
• 5 years’ experience with overhaul and rewind of large electric motors (essential).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and high-level problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workshop personnel and daily operations.
• Inspect, repair, and overhaul HV/MV/LV motors, generators and rotating equipment.
• Lead and mentor departmental staff, fostering a culture of safety and performance.
• Manage job scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
