Job summary

WesTrac is seeking an experienced Field Service Auto Electrician in Mudgee to diagnose, repair and maintain CAT mining and construction machinery in the field. You will work on-site, performing fault finding, commissioning and routine maintenance with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Experience diagnosing and fault finding on heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic and electronic control systems.

• Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on CAT mining and construction equipment in the field.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and machine control systems.
• Conduct fault finding using advanced diagnostic tools and software.

WesTrac | Mudgee - Field Service Auto Electrician

Join our Mudgee Field Service team and play a critical role supporting our customers across the region. Working on industry-leading CAT equipment, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and commissioning a wide range of mining and construction machinery in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician looking for a day-shift roster, autonomy in their role, and the backing of one of the world's largest Caterpillar dealers.

What You'll Do

• Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on CAT mining and construction equipment in the field
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and machine control systems
• Conduct fault finding using advanced diagnostic tools and software
• Complete planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and commissioning activities
• Maintain accurate service records and provide technical support to customers
• Work safely and collaboratively with customers, supervisors and support teams

What You'll Bring

• Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification
• Demonstrated experience performing diagnostics and fault finding on heavy mobile equipment
• Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic and electronic control systems
• Experience working on CAT equipment or similar mining and construction machinery (highly regarded)
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service
• Previous Field Service experience (highly regarded)
