Job summary

WesTrac in Mudgee, NSW is seeking an experienced Field Service Auto Electrician to diagnose, repair, maintain and commission CAT mining and construction equipment in the field. The role offers day-shift roster, autonomy, and the backing of a global Cat dealer.

You will perform diagnostics, fault finding, and critical maintenance on heavy equipment, while ensuring safety and high-quality service, with relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Demonstrated experience performing diagnostics and fault finding on heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic and electronic control systems.
• Experience working on CAT equipment or similar mining and construction machinery (highly regarded).
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
• Previous Field Service experience (highly regarded).

About The Opportunity

WesTrac | Mudgee - Field Service Auto Electrician

Join our Mudgee Field Service team and play a critical role supporting our customers across the region. Working on industry‑leading CAT equipment, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and commissioning a wide range of mining and construction machinery in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Auto Electrician looking for a day‑shift roster, autonomy in their role, and the backing of one of the world's largest Caterpillar dealers.

What You’ll Do
