Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland’s BlueCare Caloundra Aged Care Facility seeks a Wellness Partner to deliver engaging, person-centred wellness activities for residents. You will work under the Wellness Lead to promote independence, dignity and quality of life in alignment with quality standards.

You will facilitate activities, collaborate with staff and volunteers, and support families to ensure programs meet resident needs while maintaining safe environments and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent.
• Experience delivering group and 1:1 activities in aged care or community settings.
• Practical experience in creative, social, cognitive and physical activity facilitation.
• Understanding of dementia care and person-centred practice.
• Knowledge of infection control and manual handling.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team and building resident relationships.
• Ability to design and adapt wellness activities for older adults.
• Commitment to dignity, cultural safety and individual choice.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate inclusive group and 1:1 wellness activities supporting residents' wellbeing.
• Collaborate with care staff, clinical teams, families and volunteers to align programs with needs.
• Guide, support and engage volunteers to contribute effectively to resident wellbeing.
• Seek input from residents and families to improve programs and embed services into operations.
• Complete lifestyle assessments (supervised), maintain records and observe wellbeing changes.
• Prepare, organise and maintain activity spaces, materials and equipment.
• Follow policies and contribute to continuous improvement.
