Job summary

BlueCare Caloundra Aged Care Facility is seeking a Wellness Partner / Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to run engaging activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing.

You will work under the Wellness Lead and collaborate with care staff to tailor programs to individual interests and cultural backgrounds, promoting independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering group and 1:1 activities in aged care or community settings.
• Understanding of dementia care, person-centred practice and cultural safety.
• Knowledge of infection control and manual handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate inclusive group and 1:1 wellness activities for residents.
• Build respectful relationships encouraging independence and participation.
• Collaborate with care staff and volunteers to align programs with resident needs.
• Guide and engage volunteers to contribute to resident wellbeing.
• Prepare activity spaces and maintain equipment for safe environments.
• Follow policies and contribute to continuous improvement.
