Job summary

BlueCare seeks a dedicated Wellness Partner to deliver engaging, person-centred wellness programs for residents at Flinders View Nowlanvil Aged Care Facility. This permanent part-time role (28 hours per week) requires weekend availability and offers $39.21 per hour plus Super, Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging, penalties and allowances.

You will work closely with residents, families and the care team to promote physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing, supporting independence, dignity

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering group wellness activities in aged care or community settings.
• Experience delivering 1:1 activities and programs.
• Understanding of dementia care and person-centred practice.
• Knowledge of infection control and safe activity facilitation.
• Ability to drive a 12-seater bus (Driver's license required).
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about helping older people stay active, connected and engaged. Through meaningful activities and genuine relationships, you'll support residents' wellbeing and quality of life every day.

About The Role

As a Wellness Partner, you'll deliver engaging, person-centred wellness programs that support residents' physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeing. Working closely with residents, families and the wider care team, you'll help create opportunities for meaningful participation, independence and connection.

You Will

• Facilitate group and one-on-one wellness activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities
• Build positive relationships with residents through meaningful engagement and companionship
• Support residents' independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing
• Collaborate with the Wellness Lead, care teams, families and volunteers to deliver engaging programs
• Assist with wellness assessments, documentation and reporting changes in resident wellbeing
• Support volunteers to contribute confidently to resident activities and experiences
• Prepare and maintain safe, welcoming activity spaces and equipment
• Follow organisational policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What makes a difference for us?

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or an equivalent qualification
• Current Driver's License - Must be willing to drive 12-seater bus
• Experience delivering group and 1:1 activity in aged care or community settings
• Practical experience in creative, social, cognitive and physical activity facilitation
• Understanding of dementia care, person‑centred practice and cultural safety
• Knowledge of infection control, manual handling practices and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
• Exposure to person‑centred care principles and a sound understanding of the needs of older adults
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, allied health professionals, care staff and volunteers
• Strong ability to build positive, respectful and trusting relationships with residents and their families
• Ability to design and adapt lifestyle and wellness activities for residents with cognitive or physical limitations
• Understanding of dignity, cultural safety and individual choice in care delivery
• Satisfy the relevantprobitychecks requiredbylegislationororganisationalpolicy
