Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking Wellness Officers to enhance the well-being of residents by creating connections and supporting social and wellness activities. You will work closely with the care team to help residents set goals and participate meaningfully in community life.

Ideal candidates have empathy, strong communication, and the ability to use documentation systems and ICT for daily tasks. A part-time role offers a rewarding career in a leading not-for-profit.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged/community care or lifestyle programs is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Strong organisation, time management and ICT skills.
• Demonstrates resilience and aligns with our values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to connect clients with social and wellness activities.
• Collaborate with the care team to help residents set and achieve goals.
• Build rapport with residents and families to encourage recreation and independence.
• Support residents with health and wellness activities to enable community participation.
