Job summary

Cultura – Residential Aged Care seeks a Wellbeing Officer to support residents in accessing activities that match their preferences, aiming to enhance quality of life. The role involves coordination with the Wellbeing Team and cross-area tasks across Residential Aged Care.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff, attending meetings, maintaining documentation, and promoting resident-centred care plans across weekdays and weekends, with a focus on inclusion and family involvement.

Qualifications

• Hold or be close to completing a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent).
• If required to perform personal care tasks, hold a Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent).
• Demonstrate friendly manner and clear verbal communication skills.
• Accurate keyboard/data entry skills.
• Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate with at least 1 month remaining before expiry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Wellbeing Team members.
• Attend monthly meetings.
• Be considerate of issues affecting residents' sense of well-being.
• Apply a Person Centered Care approach to individualised Care Plans for leisure needs and abilities.
• Involve residents and families, other staff and health professionals where appropriate and evaluate Care Plans.
