Job summary

Reitech Services Pty Ltd is hiring experienced Wellfield Technicians (Mechanical/Electrical) for site-based roles in the Bowen Basin, performing pre-drainage for Underground Coal Mines. Roles include supervision and hands-on maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment across surface and underground gas drainage wells, with FIFO/DIDO or residential options.

The position offers a competitive rate of $140k–$165k per year, plus a retention bonus and superannuation paid on all hours worked,

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as mechanic/fitter or EEHA electrician
• Supervisor experience preferred (G189, G2)
• Post-trade experience in mining, oil and gas
• Experience with wellfield operations and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Building, inspecting, and maintaining mechanical equipment in the wellfield and workshop environments.
• Operations and maintenance of Surface to Inseam, Underground inseam and goaf gas drainage wells
• Operations and maintenance of processing plant equipment (blowers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, etc)
• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes.
• Participating in on‑the‑job mentoring and training to achieve and maintain high standards.

Position

Wellfield Technician / Supervisor

FIFO / DIDO / Residential

Rate: $140k - $165k (commensurate with experience) + Bonus + Superannuation paid on all hours worked

Requirements

• Trade Qualified Mechanic/Fitter/Diesel Fitter or Trade Qualified EEHA Electrician and Instrumentation Technician
• Supervisor Experience preferred (G189, G2)
• Certificate 3 or higher in Process Plant Operations (preferred)
• Post-trade experience working in the mining/oil and gas industry
• Proven capability in general maintenance, breakdown response, component change‑outs, and servicing of wellfield equipment
• Demonstrated understanding of wellfield operations and philosophy, including well drawdowns, pressure bleed‑off, commissioning, and start‑up
• Strong ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams
• Consistent commitment to high standards of health and safety
