Job summary

Bupa Willoughby is a modern care home on Sydney's Lower North Shore, offering 85 beds and a focus on health, lifestyle and wellbeing. As a Wellbeing Carer you will run engaging activities and help residents explore interests, both inside and outside the home.

You will connect with residents through art, gardening, trips, and social events, provide companionship, assist with daily living, follow infection-control protocols, and work with the Lifestyle Coordinator to plan and document progress.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for elders in aged care or community settings is essential.
• Hold a valid First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and a friendly, flexible approach.
• Australian driver's licence is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Be the fun facilitator: help residents explore interests through activities and outings.
• Social butterfly: connect residents and foster belonging through games and conversations.
• Provide companionship and assist with daily living including meals and outings.
• Gather feedback via surveys and family conferences to ensure activities hit the mark.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities and document progress.
• Maintain hygiene and infection control protocols to keep a safe environment.
• Lend a hand with plating and serving meals while monitoring resident preferences.
