Job summary

Department of Education Victoria in Mildura seeks an educational leader to drive whole-school improvement, integrating learning, wellbeing and inclusion. You will strengthen teacher capability, collaborate with a designated Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader, and work with families and external partners to boost student engagement and outcomes.

This is an educational leadership role, not a clinical position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated high-level capacity to lead, implement and evaluate whole-school approaches to wellbeing, mental health, inclusion and engagement.
• Demonstrated exemplary teaching practice and knowledge of social and emotional learning, inclusive education and engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor staff and facilitate collaborative professional learning.
• Ability to lead sustainable school improvement through collaboration, communication and engagement.
• Ability to interpret data to improve student outcomes and wellbeing.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills for relationships with students, families and external services.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shared, culturally responsive vision for student wellbeing and inclusion.
• Embed wellbeing priorities within strategic planning and implementation plans.
• Lead School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support and teach school values.
• Use data to guide and evaluate improvement in wellbeing and achievement.
• Coach and lead professional learning for teachers and education staff.
• Support safe, inclusive classrooms with clear role clarity and access to training.
