Job summary

St John Ambulance Northern Territory is seeking a Mental Health Clinician/Social Worker to support the wellbeing of our paramedics and operational staff. You will provide guidance, practical strategies and confidential support to help individuals navigate personal and professional challenges while fostering resilience.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in mental health/workplace support.
• Strong communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work compassionately in high-pressure emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, person-centred mental health support to paramedics and operational staff.
• Assist employees in developing strategies to manage personal and workplace challenges.
