Job summary

Gracehaven Aged Care Service, QLD is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to support activities and experiences that encourage participation, social interaction and enjoyment for residents. You will work closely with the broader care team to foster a warm, welcoming environment and build strong relationships with residents.

You may have experience in aged care or community services, with strong communication and a friendly, outgoing nature.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting lifestyle, leisure, wellbeing or recreational programs in aged care or similar settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with residents.
• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is desirable.
• First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of activities and experiences that encourage participation and social interaction.
• Work with the care team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Assist with group and individual activities for residents.
