Job summary

Sydney Pile Cages is seeking a Welding Supervisor to join our team in NSW, transitioning into supervision with on-site leadership responsibilities. You will step in on tools under AS/NZS 1554.3, assess welder competence and train delegates to cover shifts across sites, and perform visual inspections to acceptance criteria.

The role requires 2+ years in fabrication welding supervision, with a solid knowledge of AS/NZS 1554 series and the ability to read drawings and weld symbols.

Qualifications

• 2+ years welding supervision in fabrication.
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 1554 series.
• Ability to read drawings and weld symbols.
• Current unrestricted working rights.

Responsibilities

• On the tools and stepping in as Welding Supervisor under AS/NZS 1554.3, and Welding Inspector where the specification allows
• Assessing and recording welder competence, and training delegates to cover shifts and sites
• Visual inspection of locational and splice welds to AS/NZS 1554.3 acceptance criteria
• Supporting ACRS and ISO audits, TfNSW, TMR supplier registration, and client and engineer inspections
• Raising and closing non-conformances with QA Engineers
