• Confident reading drawings and working to accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications to confirm measurements, materials, and welding requirements.
• Measure, mark out, and prepare metal components for cutting, shaping, and assembly.
• Cut and shape metal parts using hand and power tools to achieve accurate fit-up.
• Fit, align, and assemble components in line with engineering specifications prior to welding.
• Weld metal components using appropriate welding processes to produce strong, neat joins.
• Clean and finish welds by grinding, filing, and chiselling to meet required quality and presentation standards.
• Inspect and check welded assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.

You will be expected to read and interpret engineering drawings, prepare materials, perform welds to a high standard, and complete finishing and quality checks to ensure all work meets required specifications.
