Job summary

Singh Fabrications is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our Brisbane workshop. Read and interpret engineering drawings, perform MIG, TIG and stick welding on steel components, and set up welding equipment safely.

We value 1–2 years of proven welding/fabrication experience, proficiency in blueprint reading, and strong attention to quality. You will work on fencing and architectural metalwork projects with a focus on safety and timely delivery.

• Proven 1-2 years experience as a Welder/Fabricator.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure welding and fabrication meet specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel and other metal components.
• Set up and operate welding machines and fabrication tools safely and correctly.
• Cut, grind, clean, align, fabricate, and assemble metal frames and structures.
• Inspect welded joints for quality, strength, and adherence to specs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities may Include but not limited to:

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical plans to ensure welding and fabrication work meets specifications. Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel and other metal components. Set up and operate welding machines and fabrication tools safely and correctly.

Cut, grind, clean, align, fabricate, and assemble metal frames, components, and structures. Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, accuracy, and structural integrity. Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and compliance with workplace health and safety procedures (including PPE use).

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition and support efficient workshop operations while meeting project deadlines. Skills & Experience: Proven 1-2 experience as a Welder/Fabricator, preferably in fencing industry. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Skilled in various welding techniques and finishing processes. High attention to detail, ensuring weld and finish quality meets specifications. Familiarity with WHS safety standards and safe metalworking practices.
