Skilled Jobs Australia is assisting a Para Hills West SA engineering firm to recruit full-time welders, metal fabricators and pressure welders.

You will study drawings, prepare metal stock, cut and weld, inspect results and finish products, including pressure vessels and pipes. Key requirements: ACQ Certificate III with at least two years’ on‑the‑job experience (or three years’ experience in lieu), good teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• ACQ Certificate III with at least two years of on‑the‑job experience.
• Or at least three years of relevant on‑the‑job experience may substitute the formal qualification.
• Clear understanding of production drawing.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good organizational skills with a “can do” attitude.
• Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment.

An outstanding opportunity awaits you! Our client, located in Para Hills West SA is looking for full-time Welders First Class, Metal Fabricators and Pressure Welders. Our Client is a well established engineering and fabricating company who provides high quality products and servicing to their clients. Currently they are looking for full time skilled and experienced welders to join their dynamic team.

The Role:

• Study blueprints, drawing and determine specific job requirements
• Select and prepare metal stock
• Mark out metal sections and shape using hand tools
• Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Use a variety of welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal products
• Examine welds for precision
• Finish welds by applying cleaning products, smoothing, filling and chiseling.
• Assemble, weld and repair pressure vessels and pipes.

Key Requirements:

You must have a ACQ Certificate III including at least two years of on job experience.

Or at least three years of relevant on job experience may substitute the formal qualification.

Clear understand of production drawing

Ability to work under pressure

Good organizational skills with a “can do” attitude

Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment

Salary of between $79,500 - $85,000 plus superannuation
