Job summary

Custom Trolleys Australia is seeking a full-time fabricator/welder for a permanent Brisbane-based role. You will fabricate light gauge mild steel, predominantly 1.6–3 mm, with occasional thicker work. MIG welding of mild steel is primary, with stainless/aluminium welding on select projects.

Reading technical drawings and ensuring weld quality are essential. The position operates Monday–Friday, with Friday finishing at 1 pm, in a clean workshop environment.

Job description

You'll work in a clean workshop, fabricating trolleys and other manual handling equipment, primarily from light gauge mild steel. This is a full-time, permanent position with Monday–Friday hours, finishing at 1 pm on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

Fabricating light gauge mild steel products, mostly 1.6–3 mm, rarely over 8mm

MIG welding mild steel, with some stainless steel/aluminium welding for specific projects

Reading and working from technical drawings

Checking your work for accuracy, weld quality and finish

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

About you

Relevant experience in light steel fabrication and MIG welding

TIG welding stainless steel/aluminium experience is an advantage but not essential

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Attention to detail and consistent workmanship

A practical approach and willingness to contribute to the team

Local and have the right to work in Australia

Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am–2:30 pm
