Job summary

Aussteel Group NSW in Sydney seeks an experienced Welder/Fabricator to perform MIG welding and fabricate reinforcing steel cages and components. You will read and interpret fabrication drawings, plans and job specifications, and work to high quality standards.

You must hold a Certificate III or IV, have MIG welding experience, and be able to read drawings, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in a busy workshop environment.

You will read and interpret fabrication drawings, plans, and job specifications, set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, and ensure welds meet quality requirements and Australian Standards.

About you

• Certificate III or Cert IV – relevant qualification or experience
• Demonstrated experience as a Welder, Welder Fabricator or in a similar fabrication and welding role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans
• Experience with MIG, and other manual or semi-automatic welding processes
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, measuring equipment and workshop machinery
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
