Job summary

Can-Weld Contracting P/L in Canberra is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to join our team. You will fabricate and assemble structural steel components from workshop drawings, and undertake on-site erection and installation safely and efficiently.

You will perform high-quality MIG or stick welding, read drawings confidently, and work either independently or with a project team. The role requires a minimum 3–5 years in fabrication, a trade certificate, and a valid Australian work

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and architectural metalwork.
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Minimum 3–5 years of fabrication and welding experience.
• Hold a recognised trade certificate in metal fabrication or welding.

About you

• Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and architectural metalwork.
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Essential).
• White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and Silica Training (Highly preferred).
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fabrication and welding work.
• Hold a recognised trade certificate in metal fabrication or welding.
• Valid Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
