Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd in Henderson, WA, is seeking Full Time and Casual Welders for immediate start with structural steel experience. Join Civmec’s Manufacturing and Fabrication Team at the Henderson Facility, with Monday to Friday shifts and weekend work available.

Qualifications

• Heavy fabrication workshop experience required.
• Working at heights and confined space ticket required; EWP advantageous.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience with similar structures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
• Mark out steel components according to drawings and standards.
• Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components as specified.
• Fit up and tack weld components with correct dimensions and tolerances.
• Fit lifting lugs, bracing and supports to ensure integrity when moving with gantry cranes.

Civmec are currently seeking Full Time and Casual Welders for Immediate start with structural steel experience. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Civmec’s Manufacturing and Fabrication Team, working at our Henderson Facility on the OPV Projects and Workshop, These roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work available.

The Role

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications andstandards.
• Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
• Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications andstandards.
• Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations, weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
• Fit required lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantrycranes.
