Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd in Henderson, WA, is seeking full-time Boilermakers with structural steel experience for an immediate start on the OPV project. The role sits in Civmec’s Manufacturing and Fabrication team, with Monday–Friday shifts and weekend work possible, plus on-site parking.

You will interpret drawings, mark out, cut and fit steel components, and perform tack welds to tolerance.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Plateworker.
• Heavy fabrication workshop experience.
• Working at heights and confined space tickets required; EWP advantageous.
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience with similar structures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
• Mark out steel components in accordance with drawings, specifications and standards.
• Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components per drawings and standards.
• Fit up and tack weld components with correct dimensions and weld prep.
• Fit lifting lugs and bracing to ensure integrity when moving with gantry cranes.

Civmec are currently seeking Full Time Boilermakers for Immediate start with structual steel experience. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Civmec’s Manufacturing and Fabrication Team, working at our Henderson Facility on the OPV project. These roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work available.

The Role

The daily responsibilities include:

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications andstandards.
• Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
• Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications andstandards.
• Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations, weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
• Fit required lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantrycranes.

About You
