Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd in Central Queensland is seeking skilled Pipe Fitters to contribute their expertise and grow with us. Join our Maintenance Team and work with state-of-the-art machinery including automated pipe profilers and CNC plate cutters.

You will read ISO drawings, fabricate and install pipework, fit spools, and collaborate with welders and other disciplines, with opportunities for upskilling and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade background; hands-on pipe fitting experience preferred.
• Willingness to upskill and learn to operate specialised machinery.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret ISO drawings
• Fabrication and installation of pipework across exotic materials
• Cut, bevel and fit pipes per isometric drawings
• Assemble pipe spools including valves and instruments
• Demonstrated pipe fitting experience, especially with flanges
• Collaborate with welders and other disciplines
• Perform general duties as required

The Role

• Read and interpret ISO drawings
• Fabrication and installation of various sizes of pipework consisting of a range of exotic materials and associated piping components.
• Cut, bevel and fit up pipes in accordance with isometric drawings.
• Assemble pipe spools including all valves and associated instruments.
• Demonstrated experience with Pipe Fitting, especially with Flanges
• Work with other disciplines including welders
• Perform other general duties as required
• Optional forklift ticket
• Understanding quality control systems, Client specifications and standards

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• Construction White Card
• LF & DG highly regarded
• Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
• Willingness to upskill and learn how to operate specialised machinery
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Good attitude and ability to work within our team
