Job summary

InfraBuild Recycling, based at our Wetherill Park site in Sydney, is seeking a Weighbridge Operator. You will weigh incoming scrap, prepare receipts, and perform data entry in line with vendor payments and InfraBuild policies. Full training is provided, and previous weighbridge experience is not essential.

Your role involves accurate weight recording, payments processing, coordinating with transport onsite, and ensuring driver documentation is correct, all within a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in admin/weighbridge operations or willingness to learn.
• COR understanding desirable
• HR & MC vehicle configurations desirable
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Accurately record vehicle weights and material types, ensuring all documentation is completed and driver signatures are obtained
• Process payments and manage account transactions with accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate with transport operators onsite and manage all weighbridge functions safely and effectively
• Verify that all drivers entering and exiting the site hold the correct documentation
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Inspect incoming loads to ensure compliance with site licence conditions and approved waste types
• Process delivery notes and tickets with precision and in a timely manner
• Communicate site rules clearly to weighbridge customers and provide guidance to ensure safe and compliant operations

Based at our Wetherill Park site and reporting to the Branch Manager, the Weighbridge Operator, will play a vital role in customer service, data processing, and vehicle weighing. You will accurately weigh incoming scrap, prepare receipt documentation for customers and suppliers, and complete data entry in accordance with vendor payment procedures and InfraBuild Recycling policies.

Full training will be provided and previous weighbridge experience is not essential.

What you will be doing:

• Accurately record vehicle weights and material types, ensuring all documentation is completed and driver signatures are obtained
• Process payments and manage account transactions with accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate with transport operators onsite and manage all weighbridge functions safely and effectively
