Job summary

InfraBuild Recycling at Wetherill Park is seeking a diligent Weighbridge Operator to support customer service, data processing, and accurate vehicle weighing. You will weigh incoming scrap, prepare receipts, and enter data in line with vendor payment procedures and our policies.

Full training is provided; previous weighbridge experience is not required. The role offers a full-time permanent position, safety-focused culture, and uniform/PPE supplied to ensure you work confidently and compliantly.

Qualifications

• Weighbridge operations knowledge or related admin experience is beneficial.
• Excellent numeracy and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to follow procedures and site rules.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.

Responsibilities

• Record vehicle weights and material types with driver signatures.
• Process payments and manage account transactions accurately.
• Coordinate with transport operators and manage weighbridge functions safely.
• Verify driver documentation for entry/exit.
• Build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Inspect loads for COR compliance and approved waste types.
• Process delivery notes and tickets promptly.
• Communicate site rules to customers for safe operations.

Job description

Based at our Wetherill Park site and reporting to the Branch Manager, the Weighbridge Operator, will play a vital role in customer service, data processing, and vehicle weighing. You will accurately weigh incoming scrap, prepare receipt documentation for customers and suppliers, and complete data entry in accordance with vendor payment procedures and InfraBuild Recycling policies.

Full training will be provided and previous weighbridge experience is not essential.

What you will be doing:

• Accurately record vehicle weights and material types, ensuring all documentation is completed and driver signatures are obtained
• Process payments and manage account transactions with accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate with transport operators onsite and manage all weighbridge functions safely and effectively
• Verify that all drivers entering and exiting the site hold the correct documentation
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Inspect incoming loads to ensure compliance with site licence conditions and approved waste types
• Process delivery notes and tickets with precision and in a timely manner
• Communicate site rules clearly to weighbridge customers and provide guidance to ensure safe and compliant operations
