Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a FIFO Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join our Engineering team. You will operate on a 20 days on/20 days off roster, with 10‑hour days across am and pm shifts, performing duties as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for Dash 8 Classic aircraft.

The role requires a LAME B1/B2 license, a DHC8 Classic type rating and experience in heavy and line maintenance. Candidates must have Australian working rights and meet ITAR considerations as applicable.

Qualifications

• LAME B1/B2 licensed is required for the role.
• DHC8 Classic type rating is required to operate the Dash 8 aircraft.
• Experience in heavy and line maintenance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
• Ensure maintenance, documentation and certification comply with MOE and CAMO requirements.
• Maintain safety as a core value and participate in safety programs.
• Conduct shift handovers and ensure timely task completion.
• Carry out Critical Maintenance Tasks with required controls before CRS issues.

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. **The Opportunity**
Opportunity for a B1 or B2 Dash 8 Classic Type Rated LAME to join our Engineering team in a FIFO role working a 20 days on 20 days off roster. The role will see you working 10‑hour days in both am and pm shifts, your responsibilities will include:

• Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
• Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements.
• Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
• Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers.
• Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS.

**About You**
We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.
Essential for this role:

• Experienced LAME B1 or B2 licensed
• Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
• Hold a DHC8 classic type rating

This role requires the successful applicant to hold full Australian working rights.
Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.
