Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a qualified Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join our Engineering team in a FIFO role, working a 20 days on / 20 days off roster. You will perform heavy and line maintenance on Dash 8 aircraft, ensure documentation and certification align with MOE and CAMO requirements, and uphold safety as a core value in daily operations.

Eligible candidates hold a valid LAME B1/B2 license, with DHC8 Classic type rating, and Australian working rights.

• Experienced LAME B1 or B2 licensed.
• Heavy and Line maintenance experience.
• Hold a DHC8 classic type rating.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
• Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and CAMO requirements.
• Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the zero harm environment through active participation in safety programs.
• Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers.
• Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS.

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. The Opportunity

Opportunity for a B1 or B2 Dash 8 Classic Type Rated LAME to join our Engineering team in a FIFO role working a 20 days on 20 days off roster. The role will see you working 10-hour days in both am and pm shifts, your responsibilities will include;

• Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
• Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements
• Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
• Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers
• Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS

About You

We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.

Essential for this role:

• Experienced LAME B1 or B2 licensed
• Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
• Hold a DHC8 classic type rating

This role requires the successful applicant to hold full Australian working rights.

Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.
