Job summary

Dahlsens Building Centres Pty in Cooktown is seeking a Weekend Supervisor to help run the hardware store on Saturdays and Sundays. You will support the Branch Manager, assist customers, and help keep the store busy and organized.

The role requires a friendly, confident demeanor, strong communication and the ability to work with the team to deliver great service. Weekend availability is essential for this casual position.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience.
• Friendly and confident with customers and team.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Able to work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Customer focused with good attention to detail.
• Physically able to lift and handle goods.
• Forklift Licence (LF) would be handy but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations and customer service.
• Support sales and follow up quotes and orders.
• Monitor stock levels and keep the store running smoothly.
• Lead by example and promote a safe, positive team culture.
• Coach team members on product knowledge and customer service.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to achieve sales goals.
