Dahlsens Building Centres Pty is seeking a friendly, reliable Retail Assistant to join our busy Scott St team in Cairns. You’ll be the first contact for customers, providing product advice and service to builders, tradies, and DIYers.

Based on the hardware counter, you’ll listen, ask the right questions, and help customers get what they need while upholding store safety and accuracy. Prior experience in hardware is a plus; forklift LF is essential.

Qualifications

• Forklift Licence (LF) essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional and helpful service to all customers.
• Handle stock to minimise damage and wastage.
• Maintain store in a clean, safe manner per WHS guidelines.
• Undertake regular product training with market-leading brands.
• Ensure orders are prepared on time and in full to meet customer needs.
• Monitor stock levels to meet supply and demand.
