Reef Catchments Limited in the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac region invites applications for a Project Officer to drive delivery of Waterways projects, focusing on streambank remediation, riparian repair and landscape restoration. You’ll translate approved requirements into practical work plans, coordinate landholders and contractors, manage budgets and reporting, and help demonstrate environmental outcomes.

Working under the Manager – Waterways, you’ll build trusted relationships with stakeholders,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering on-ground waterway or landscape remediation projects.
• Ability to plan work plans, budgets and milestones with reporting.
• Strong engagement with landholders, contractors and stakeholders.
• Commitment to WHS and safe field delivery.
• Knowledge of natural resource management principles and water quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate Waterways projects with plans, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate streambank remediation, riparian repair and erosion control works.
• Manage landholder access, contractors and project logistics.
• Conduct site inspections, monitoring and reporting of progress.
• Maintain project records and safeguard WHS across field activities.
• Identify risks and opportunities and escalate as needed.
