Job summary

ARTEMUS Group is seeking a Maintenance & Construction Technician to support a vibrant Brisbane waterfront precinct. You will carry out maintenance, repairs, and minor construction across buildings and public spaces, ensuring safety and quality in live hospitality settings.

You will work on preventative and reactive tasks, with focus on carpentry, building repairs, and waterfront asset upkeep, while following WHS, environmental, and heritage requirements.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Carpentry, Building, Mechanical or similar.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance and construction environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on site.
• Knowledge of WHS requirements in construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake hands-on maintenance, repair, and minor construction works across buildings, structures, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance in line with schedules and work orders, including general trade works such as carpentry, building repairs, and fit-for-purpose modifications.
• Support marine and waterfront asset upkeep, including wharf decks, fendering, handrails, and access infrastructure.
• Identify, report, and rectify defects and hazards, working safely in live operational environments to minimise disruption to venues, events, and the public.
• Comply with WHS, marine safety, environmental, and heritage requirements, and use tools, plant, and equipment safely and correctly.
