Job summary

Water Infrastructure Services is seeking a skilled Construction & Maintenance Technician to join our SE Queensland team on a full-time basis. You will undertake maintenance, repair, and construction of water infrastructure assets, contributing to the reliability and safety of our water systems.

The role involves hands-on work with roofing, concrete, pipework and structural tasks, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Confined Space and Working at Heights qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
• High Risk Tickets (EWP, Scaffolding, Forklift).
• Construction Card.
• Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing, structural repairs, installation, and asset maintenance.
• Deliver construction and maintenance works to a high standard.
• Coating, pressure washing, surface preparation; roof remediation and structural repairs.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Construction & Maintenance Technician to join the team at Water Infrastructure Services (WIS). This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in undertaking the maintenance, repair, and construction of water infrastructure assets across SE Queensland. You will be responsible for performing both planned maintenance and repairs across various water infrastructure assets, contributing directly to the reliability and safety of our water systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on work including roofing, structural repairs, installation, and asset maintenance.
• Deliver construction and maintenance works to a high standard.
• Comply with all requirements relating to Quality, Safety and Environment and company policies.

Typical Daily Tasks

• Coating, pressure washing, and surface preparation.
• Roofing & Re-sheeting, roof remediation, and structural repairs.
• Concrete works ie crack and spalling repairs, joint sealing and general labouring duties relevant to water reservoir works.
• Pipework installation and other works associated with reservoir refurbishment and maintenance.
