Job summary

ACRUX Search Pty Ltd is recruiting for a Venue Manager on a full-time basis to lead Due South Albany, a landmark waterfront hospitality venue in Albany, WA. You will drive day-to-day operations, guest experiences, and strong commercial performance while fostering a positive team culture.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of hospitality management in high-volume settings, proven P&L management, and a people-first leadership style.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years progressive hospitality management experience in a similar venue or high-volume operation.
• Proven experience in managing P&L, budgets, financial reporting and commercial outcomes.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a people-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall venue performance, including budgets, P&L, EBITDA, revenue growth and profitability.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with the local community, customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Drive effective labour management, roster optimisation, productivity and wage cost control.
• Maintain tight control of COGS, stock management, purchasing, wastage and gross profit margins.
• Lead, coach and develop department managers and frontline teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement and high performance.
• Implement new systems and operational processes through effective communication, training, coaching and change management.
• Plan and deliver innovative food, beverage and venue initiatives to grow the venue’s profile and attract new and repeat business.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience, operational standards, compliance and workplace safety.
• Position the venue as a respected community hub through strong local engagement and partnerships.
