Job summary

Mantra Group seeks an experienced Building Manager to oversee maintenance, facilities, compliance and asset management across two waterfront properties in Hervey Bay. You will report to the General Manager and lead a team including a Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring high standards and strong relationships with owners, directors and contractors.

You will drive preventative maintenance, manage budgets, oversee compliance, and coordinate with committees to deliver top-tier presentation and asset

Qualifications

• Experience in building management or hospitality facilities.
• Ability to lead two properties and coordinate across teams.
• Strong budgeting, reporting and record-keeping capabilities.
• Proven experience working with Body Corporate, Directors and committees.
• Proficient with MS Office and property/maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and facilities operations across both properties.
• Collaborate with General Manager and committees to maintain high standards.
• Attend director/committee meetings and provide clear reports and recommendations.
• Prepare quarterly Building Manager reports including maintenance, compliance and expenditure.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and contractor performance.
• Monitor budgets and contractor expenditure; manage owner-funded replacements.
• Induct and supervise contractors and ensure safe, compliant works.
• Conduct regular property inspections and identify improvement opportunities.
