Job summary

Workfast is seeking experienced Watercart Operators to join a leading civil and earthmoving contractor working on major projects in Logan, Australia. The role offers $42 per hour plus penalties, with 6 months of continuous work and overtime opportunities.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of watercart experience on civil/earthmoving sites, a current RIIMPO326E ticket, and a White Card. Additional plant tickets are highly advantageous and immediate starts are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating watercarts on civil/earthmoving projects.
• Current RIIMPO326E Watercart ticket or equivalent.
• White Card (Construction Induction) is required.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Watercarts on civil earthmoving sites.
• Assist with dust suppression, haul road maintenance, and moisture conditioning for compaction.
• Coordinate with grader/roller crews and supervision.
• Complete daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance.

Requirements

• Current RII ticket to operate Watercarts (e.g., RIIMPO326E Conduct water vehicle operations)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating watercarts on civil/earthmoving projects
• Previous experience in subdivision, roadworks, or bulk earthworks highly regarded
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow directions
• Additional plant tickets (e.g., Moxy, Excavator, Dozer, Roller) highly advantageous

Key Duties

• Safe and efficient operation of Watercarts on civil earthmoving sites
• Executing critical dust suppression, haul road maintenance, and moisture conditioning for compaction
• Working closely with grader operators, roller operators, supervisors, and ground crews
• Completing daily pre-start checks and routine machine maintenance
• Assisting with general site tasks when required
