Isaac Regional Council invites applicants to join as a Trainee Water and Wastewater Operator within our Water and Wastewater team. You will learn on the job, operating and maintaining plants while working toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.

This full-time traineeship (76 hours per fortnight) pays $27.81 per hour, with a proposed start date of Monday 18 January 2027. A 9-day fortnight and supportive team help balance work and study, with a pathway to

Qualifications

• Completed Year 10 or higher.
• A valid driver’s licence (desirable).
• Construction White Card required or desirable.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the daily operation of water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Learn how to monitor equipment, identify faults and support maintenance activities.
• Gain hands-on experience in water sampling, testing and recording results.
• Work alongside experienced operators while completing formal training and qualifications.
