Job summary

The Stantec Water team in Australia seeks a Team Leader – Treatment, QLD to lead a multidisciplinary workforce delivering complex treatment projects in a consulting setting. You will mentor engineers, drive safety culture, and shape project delivery while seizing opportunities for growth and collaboration across regions.

You will bring 10+ years in water/wastewater treatment, a relevant engineering degree with CPEng/RPEQ eligibility, and a proven track record in leadership and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering with CPEng/RPEQ or eligibility.
• 10+ years of technical experience in water and wastewater treatment.
• Proven ability to build and lead teams locally and across regions.
• Strong project and technical leadership including coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
• Deep understanding of clean water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Experience with D&C and alternative delivery models in treatment projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers delivering treatment projects in a consulting environment.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture aligned with Stantec values and business strategy.
• Identify and capitalise on work opportunities through networking and business development.
• Support team members’ career development plans and recruitment input.
• Lead HS&W performance and model safe practices within the team.
• Collaborate with local and regional Team Leaders to strengthen resourcing and delivery.
• Support Group Leader in resourcing management and performance monitoring.
