Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services is seeking a Water Treatment Engineering Specialist to provide technical leadership across water treatment projects, including leachate, wastewater and industrial water treatments. You will guide engineering management approaches, ensuring safe, compliant, and technically sound solutions for diverse client needs.

You will develop concept designs, write technical specifications, manage budgets and external contractors, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Extensive demonstrated experience in technical management of industrial processes.
• Experience in developing concept designs and associated technical documentation for water treatment processes (e.g., leachate treatment, wastewater treatment, water reuse).
• Experience in managing consultants to perform detailed designs aligned with regulatory standards.
• Ability to prepare scope of works and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and partner with stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with other technical and project management professionals.
• Undertake technology assessments for new concepts to assess technical feasibility.
• Develop concept designs and all associated basic documentation.
• Write technical specifications and scope of works for tender processes.
• Evaluate tender responses from a technical perspective and select suitable contractors.
• Ensure all technical solutions meet the desired project outcomes and standards.
• Manage a budget and program during development and report progress to stakeholders.
• Manage external contractors and ensure their deliverables meet quality, cost and time requirements.
