Job summary

Orange City Council is looking for a skilled Water Treatment Engineer to join our Water and Sewer section. In this role you will be a key player in optimising our water and sewage treatment processes to meet compliance goals and manage capital improvement projects.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement, a permanent full-time role with a salary range of 99,832–108,817 AUD, and development opportunities to help you grow within the Council and contribute to the Orange community.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (ideally process or chemical), Science, or associated discipline.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or ability to acquire
• Current Class C driver’s licence
• Experience in water/wastewater treatment environment relating to process improvement and optimisation
• Established knowledge of water and wastewater treatment and pumping procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of SCADA control systems
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects, particularly the planning phase

We are searching for someone who is ready to make a positive impact. To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (ideally process or chemical), Science, or associated discipline
