Job summary

Fraser Coast Regional Council is seeking a reliable Water Industry Plant Operator/Labourer for permanent full-time work in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. The role involves maintaining and constructing water and wastewater systems, operating machinery, and ensuring safety in confined spaces.

Requirements include an MR licence, machinery/plant licences (e.g., excavator), White Card, and immunisations. A range of additional licences and first aid are desirable.

Qualifications

• Current MR licence is required.
• Current machinery/plant licences (e.g., excavator).
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card) application.
• Immunisations: Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus (or willingness to vaccinate).
• First Aid/CPR and heights training are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment to support construction/maintenance.
• Contribute to building and maintaining water and wastewater assets to quality standards.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of water infrastructure.
